Started in 2016, we successfully built and operated Aeria Games, one of the largest free-to-play game publishers in the Western market, with revenue of $120M+ per year and 600+ employees in 5 global offices: Silicon Valley, Tokyo, Berlin, Seoul and Sao Paulo. The business was sold to Prosieben in Germany at a transaction value of $100M.
In Japan, PlayNext sold Gamepot, one of the first free-to-play game publishers in Japan to GMO. We also sold the mobile gaming business currently known as Tanoshimi to WanderPlanet in Japan.
PlayNext successfully incubated Gameflip, a global digital marketplace, which raised over $10M in venture capital funding from Bullpen, Lightbank, GoAhead Ventures, etc. Gameflip recently completed an ICO raising $17M+ to add blockchain technology to its digital marketplace.
